Santa Fe is just over an hours drive from the house, Taos is within forty five minutes, Sippapu Ski and recreation area is less than twenty minutes from the house, Angel Fire ski and recreation area is about 45 minutes away, and Kit Carson National Forest is just a short hike from the property.
Acreage and Terrain: A recent survey shows the property to be 105.27 acres. Altitude ranges from approximately 8300 feet on the lower level to approximately 8900 feet at the top. Terrain ranges from gently sloping meadows and patures on both sides of Luna Creek and along the dead end county road, to increasingly mountainous terrain behind the house. The mountainous terrain is completely accessible via an old logging road.
Witihin the forest and mountainous upper terrain there are several beautiful and gently sloping meadows. There are beautiful views in all directions.
Luna Creek crosses the property approximately 400 to 600 feet from the eastern boundary of the property. This is a year round creek with a tremendous flow rate.
Approximately a third of the way up the property an acequia crosses from the north to the south boundaries.
